This might all look a bit daunting at first glance, but basically we've been listening to your comments and together with the features we needed we feel we have put together the ultimate online seed and plant shopping experience. We have implemented technology never before used on the Internet for online shopping, but all this is here to make it easier for you. It's all very simple when you've become familiar with it.

There is one other important feature that I must tell you about
In the case of seeds, freshness is an important issue. Obviously we are very familiar with the expected shelf life of each species we deal with. Some species have a shelf life of just a few days under optimum storage conditions others may have a shelf life of a year or more. Our system automatically knows this for each species and based on the date they were added to the system it will display each species as being "NEW" if it's calculated as being fresh in. Additionally, we are offering a new service here. When a species gets to within a month of the end of its shelf life (where germination rates are still expected to be high) then we now sell these seeds off at a reduced rate, and all these on sale will be flagged with the word "SALE".
If it's palms you're looking for then you've come to the right place. Our database includes every officially recognised palm species in the world. All are listed using the correct, up-to-date botanical scientific name. But you don't have to know the botanical name of the palm you're looking for, you may search for any name; scientific, common, scientific synonyms, common synonyms, even many Spanish, French, Italian and German names are searchable. Your search results will pull out all species similar to your request, but listed with the botanically correct name. Obviously we don't hold stock of every species in the world, it's doubtful we will ever be able to do that. What we have will be clearly displayed.
It's not only palms here though; many other plant species are also listed in the database. Mainly exotics, but there are commoner species as well. All are accessible through the menu on the right hand side or searchable.
How to shop
Search a name or select your species' family from the menu on the right hand side.

In this demo we have Acoelorrhaphe wrightii palm seeds. You can change the pack size from the drop-down menu on the right (where we have sufficient quantity on stock). This will immediately update the product price and quantity. You may then choose multiple packets of that chosen quantity. This doesn't alter the packet price but updates the total value. It's not possible to order more than we currently hold on stock. The system will prevent you from doing that. If you need more than we currently have then you must send us an e-mail with your requirements. We can't know what you desire unless you ask.
When you have the product size, price and quantity that you require the whole box needs to be dragged into your shopping cart situated at the bottom of the page. Just use your mouse to click and hold on the product box, then drag that box and drop it in the cart. There is no shopping cart on this demo page. But you can still drag the product around.
Your shopping cart will now update with the product you have added. This will show the quantity of packets, the product description and the total price based on the quantity. The cart also tallies up the total price, and also (most importantly) the cart tallies the total shipping weight.
It is possible to delete individual items from the cart or empty the whole cart. However, you do not need to delete a product if you just want to change the quantity, just change the original product information and drop it in again, the cart will automatically update with the new quantity and price.

Click on the "Proceed to Checkout" button on the bottom of the cart to continue to the payment and delivery details. Because we have the total delivery weight and all the species you chose were selected from stock that we have we are able to process your order in real time. Your shipping cost is calculated based on the total weight, and the total invoice price is there for you to see. You can choose various payment methods. Where secure credit card payment is used we can process your order immediately and we aim to get your shipment out that very same day where possible.

One last note: I don't like to tell people what Web browser they should be using, this site should work somewhat correctly in any Web browsers.
