We specialise in native trees to supply forestry, farming conservation and re-wilding projects within the south-west region, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, & Gloucestershire. Where we, where possible select wild trees from the south-west for the south-west. So we collect our native tree seed from trees within south-west provenances: UK305 and UK404. Our main nursery is based in Cornwall but operates within the whole south-west region of Britain and can supply anywhere within the Great British mainland. We also grow many of our trees in our Wiltshire nursery. We also regularly collect certain seed in UK403. Rarely we collect seed in neighbouring provenances: UK405 in the east and UK303 and UK304 in Wales. Read more in our seed-sourcing article.
We grow all the Native & Archaeophyte species from the south-west. Including all the exceptionally rare species. But we also grow the usual range of commercial forestry trees, and a wide range of exotics & ornamentals.
All trees are grown on site at Trebrown Nurseries' sites and are fully traceable, from seed source to planting site. Due to the biosecurity risks involved, we do not import trees or purchase trees from UK nurseries that import live plants. This removes the risk of cross-contamination of our trees.
